Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of our client school in Hemel Hempstead to appoint a motivated and inspirational Reception Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher with a passion for Early Years education to join a welcoming and supportive school community.

About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in the Reception year group, creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development, and ensure a smooth transition from Early Years to Key Stage 1.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering creative and challenging lessons tailored to the needs of all learners.
  • Observing, assessing, and recording children's progress, identifying next steps for learning.
  • Providing a stimulating learning environment with opportunities for both indoor and outdoor play.
  • Encouraging independence, curiosity, and a love of learning in young children.
  • Working closely with teaching assistants and other staff to support learning and wellbeing.
  • Building positive relationships with parents and carers to share progress and achievements.
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and classroom organisation.

About YouWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has proven experience teaching in the Early Years, ideally in a Reception setting.
  • Is passionate about giving children the best possible start to their education.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Can work effectively as part of a friendly and collaborative team.
