Within one of our niche markets, we have a successful homegrown Business Manager heading off on maternity leave in July and we're looking to cover their role for a year but recruiting permanently with an outlined plan moving forward for this individual. This market has seen strong performance across UK, Europe and Middle East and we aim to grow this market further. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our established team to take on this £200K perm desk.

As an experienced consultant, are you still having to put candidates on your CRM, adding and taking off contacts to keep it up to date, are you still having to do the chore of writing job adverts? At MRK, our consultants don't do any of this.

This job sits in our revenue management division - a niche market in which we're market leaders - working with hospitality, travel, holiday and hotel groups. We have a strong reputation and need a talented (senior) consultant with strong ambitions to succeed. The market is extremely social and you will be heavily expected to attend events and meetings regularly so you will need to be naturally sociable and outgoing. This job will only suit an individual with the drive to be part of a growing team, good attention to detail, a commercial mindset and the sincerity to work closely and honestly with clients.
Duties will include:
- Typical recruitment duties - Interviewing jobseekers, shortlisting for live vacancies, meeting clients
Plus:
- Building your personal and company profile through online and offline content (supported by our Marketing Manager)
- Using our unique product portfolio to illustrate our expertise in fulfilling their requirements
- Targeted business development to employers when there is relevant and interesting information to discuss (not calling for the sake of it!)
- Assisting in organising events relevant to your market to drive a reputation of adding value to our customers
- Developing long term relationships with clients with the understanding that a volume of vacancies over time is more beneficial than a quick win
- Network building through numerous different avenues to raise your own and MRK's profile in the market.
