We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving, Ofsted 'Good' Secondary School in Hemel Hempstead on a full-time, permanent basis starting September 2025. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will inspire a love of English language and literature in your students and support them in achieving their full potential through engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver outstanding English lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Contribute to departmental planning and development
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement in the classroom
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven UK teaching experience in English at secondary level
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willing to obtain)
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for English
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
