English Teacher – WatfordÂ
Salary: £33,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)
Contract:Â Full-time, Long-Term

They’re looking for a passionate and committed English Teacher to join the team from September on a long-term basis. Whether you're an experienced teacher or just starting out (ECTs welcome), if you’ve got a genuine love for literature and language and enjoy bringing creativity into the classroom, this could be a great fit for you.
What the role involves:

Teaching English Language and Literature to KS3 and KS4 students

Creating engaging and challenging lessons that spark curiosity and build confidence

Helping students develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
-
Marking work, giving meaningful feedback, and keeping track of progress

Taking part in curriculum planning and contributing new ideas

Encouraging involvement in reading groups, creative writing, and school-wide literacy projects

Being an active part of the school community
What they’re looking for:

QTS or equivalent (preferred, but not essential for the right candidate)

Experience teaching English at secondary level

Strong subject knowledge and a real enthusiasm for the subject

A creative, student-focused approach to teaching

Confident classroom management

An Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willing to apply for one)
