A 1 from entry school in Hemel Hempstead are actively seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their ambitious support team.

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the national curriculum. Ideally, we would like you to have gained an education standard of up to degree level, whilst showing evidence of vocational education or experience relevant to this post.

You will be supporting pupils across the school and working outside the classroom in extracurricular activities. Your skills and experience will be put to the test by supporting the learning and development of each pupil dedicated to you, ensuring they are encouraged, supported and managed in an effective manner to meet their needs.

What we look for in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

  • A passion working with children
  • Confidence
  • Hold Higher Level Teaching Assistant status or have previous teaching assistant experience within KS1 and KS2.
  • Be capable of preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, smalls groups or the class as a whole.
  • Assess pupil progress
  • Have the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with staff, pupils and parents
