Learning Support Assistant – SEN School

Full-Time | Long-Term | ASAP Start | Hemel Hempstead

Supply Desk is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming SEN School in Hemel Hempstead to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP.

Role Overview:

You’ll work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENCO to provide focused support across KS1, tailored to your experience and the needs of the pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and emotional wellbeing
  • Supporting the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Promoting positive behaviour and active engagement in lessons
  • Building strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
  • Monitoring pupil progress and reporting back to the class teacher
  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working with children, ideally in a Primary school setting
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and a genuine passion for supporting learning
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
