Academics are recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school team ASAP. This is a full-time role working across Key Stage 1 (KS1), offering the opportunity to make a real impact on pupils' learning and development.

Learning Support Assistant

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Contract: Long term or permanent

Start date: ASAP

The Role:

  • Provide dedicated support to pupils across KS1 classes
  • Work closely with class teachers to deliver tailored learning interventions
  • Support pupils with a range of needs to access the curriculum
  • Help to maintain a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant (ideally in KS1 or primary settings)
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting children's learning
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils to achieve their best
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE/NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning) desirable but not essential
