Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live in Care Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need, whether in a young adults home . This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those under your care through various support activities, including care, meal preparation, and behaviour management. Friendship, fun and support is essential for vulnerable young adults in this home.

You will be provided with your own room. Payment is weekly on a self employed basis. Excellent weekly pay.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Provide support, including engaging with young adults, offering friendship, emotional support, help with mental health well being and help with daily activities.
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to promote well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to relevant professionals.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a young adult setting is essential
  • A caring attitude and strong interpersonal skills are crucial for building rapport with clients.
  • Experience in behaviour management techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience in young person's mental health is essential.
