Are you compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping children thrive? Supply Desk is looking for motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming and inclusive schools in Hemel Hempstead starting September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and help them overcome challenges in their learning journey.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a variety of needs, including autism, SEMH, and other additional learning requirements
- Support the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social development in pupils
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to adapt learning strategies
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEND is a plus, but not essential
- Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with children
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
