Supply Desk is looking for motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming and inclusive schools in Hemel Hempstead starting September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and help them overcome challenges in their learning journey.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a variety of needs, including autism, SEMH, and other additional learning requirements
  • Support the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social development in pupils
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to adapt learning strategies
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEND is a plus, but not essential
  • Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with children
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
