TIG Aluminium Welder

We are representing a specialist precision engineering and fabrication business working on project-based, low-volume builds. Due to increased workload across bespoke fabrication programmes, we are looking for an experienced TIG Aluminium Welder to join the team, working on high-accuracy components and assemblies.

The Role

You will be responsible for the TIG welding of aluminium fabrications, working from technical drawings to produce clean, accurate welds for non-repeat, special-purpose builds. This role suits a welder who takes pride in workmanship and can work to high aesthetic and structural standards, rather than heavy production output.

Key Responsibilities

  • TIG welding of aluminium components and fabricated assemblies.
  • Working from detailed fabrication drawings and following controlled processes.
  • Preparing materials, setting up fixtures and checking alignment prior to weld.
  • Producing clean, precise welds with strong visual finish and dimensional accuracy.
  • Carrying out self-inspection and working with quality teams where required.
  • Contributing to a tidy, organised and safe fabrication area.
  • Supporting fabrication/assembly teams on bespoke build projects when needed.

Ideal Background

  • Proven experience TIG welding aluminium to a high standard.
  • Ability to read fabrication/engineering drawings confidently.
  • Experience working in low-volume, high-quality fabrication environments.
  • Confident in material prep, fit-up and understanding heat control/distortion.
  • Able to work to internal quality standards with strong attention to detail.
