The position is highly interactive, involving extensive engagement with stakeholders and the team, so we are primarily looking for someone who can work from our office. About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join a busy and growing finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to take on a senior leadership role and help shape the future of the finance function.In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial control across the group, leading a high-performing team, and supporting strategic decision-making. You’ll also take ownership of statutory reporting, cashflow management, payroll, and intercompany finances, ensuring everything runs smoothly and aligns with the company’s goals.You’ll work closely with senior leaders across the business, providing valuable financial insight to support continued growth. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who enjoys driving improvement and making a real impact.Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.
  • Preparing and presenting clear, accurate financial reports.
  • Ensuring alignment between financial control and operational performance.
  • Developing strategies and policies to optimise the Financial Controls function.
Essential Experience & Skills:
  • A full accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing finance teams.
  • Confidence in managing complex financial operations, including cashflow and payroll.
  • The ability to clearly explain financial information to colleagues at all levels, both financial and non-financial.
  • A strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and time management.
  • A proactive approach to improving systems and reporting processes.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK financial regulations and best practices.
  • Experience with change management and implementing new systems (desirable but not essential).
