Our 4-star hotel in the heart of Hereford is well regarded for its fresh, seasonal menus and consistent delivery. With a kitchen team of over 30 chefs, we serve 200400 covers each day across multiple dining areas. The last customer sitting is at 8pm, meaning most evening shifts finish by 9:009:30pm, helping maintain a better balance between work and life.
What We Offer
  • Salary: £34,000 £36,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in running daily kitchen operations

  • Lead service and manage junior chefs across sections

  • Maintain hygiene and health & safety standards at all times

  • Assist with stock management and food cost control

  • Ensure consistency and quality across every dish leaving the kitchen

  • Contribute to seasonal menu development and kitchen efficiency

Requirements
  • Experience as a Sous Chef in a fresh food, high-volume kitchen

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

  • A hands-on approach with attention to detail

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

  • Driving licence and access to own transport highly desirable due to rural location
