Part-Time Quantity Surveyor (Permanent or Contract)

My client is a growing general construction business specialising in residential and commercial. Working on New Build, extensions, refurbishments, and small-to-medium construction projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Quantity Surveyor to support our projects from pre-construction through to final accounts.

This role offers flexibility and would suit someone looking for a part-time position, whether on a permanent basis or as a contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation

  • Producing and managing valuations, variations, and final accounts

  • Monitoring project costs and cash flow

  • Assisting with procurement of subcontractors and materials

  • Reviewing subcontractor applications and payments

  • Supporting project managers with commercial reporting

  • Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed budgets

About You

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within general construction

  • Strong understanding of extensions, refurbishments, and small works projects

  • Confident working independently and managing multiple projects

  • Good commercial awareness and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience

The Role
