We are working with an expanding south Herefordshire based client seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager on a full-time, permanent basis to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a client focused and sales driven individual to manage and grow accounts whilst delivering outstanding customer service, with the support and guidance of an established and respected brand.

What you can expect:

  • Salary: £30'000 - £40,000, depending on experience
  • Potential to earn an additional 10% annual bonus based on growth
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4:30pm, with some flexibility required for the needs of the business
  • Office based in Hereford
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

What you will be doing:

  • Communicating with clients to ensure issues are resolved efficiently, whist ensuring senior management are kept up to date with wider concerns
  • Negotiating contracts with existing and new clients to maintain and grow accounts, increase sales, and improve profit margins
  • Manages and stays up to date with customer accounts, including routine visits, contacts and interactions including both face to face and remote
  • Communication across the business to maintain and ensure ongoing improvement performance
  • Supports internal departments, assisting to manage the stock and contracts requirements
  • Monthly business analysis to identify any lapsed or down trading accounts•Awareness of sales targets, KPI’s and company budget
  • Monthly reporting of KPI’s and sales figures
  • Understanding the supply base, keeping up to date with market conditions including active role in procurement
  • Effective use of the company sales systems, to manage all interactions, sales quotes, agreements and processes

What we are looking for:

  • Prior experience sales or account management experience across multiple client accounts - fresh produce sector would be desirable
  • Strong project and time management abilities, with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills coupled with delivering a high level of customer service
  • Commercially astute and with a proactive approach across the business activities
  • Strong computer skills across Microsoft and Sales Systems with SAP experience advantageous
