Responsibilities
- Administer and maintainSQL Server databases, ensuring adherence to Microsoft best practices and standards.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimizedatabase performance and security.
- Manage data extraction and deliveryto fulfil critical business and customer requirements.
- Enhance and maintainexisting SQL code, stored procedures, and database objects that support core business systems.
- Provide supportfor bug fixing in C# and VB.NET code, with opportunities for further development work.
- Deliver 3rd-line and on-call supportfor all system and data-related incidents as required.
- Advise senior managementon Business Systems market best practices, suggesting and managing relevant adoption and improvements.
- Produce reports and management informationto effectively support the business's information needs.
Technical Proficiency
- Demonstrable, hands-on knowledgeof SQL management and development.
- Strong understanding of development techniques, tooling, and various integration methods and technologies.
- Familiarity with reporting, BI tools, and implementation processes.
2. Development and Application Skills
- Working knowledge of theMicrosoft development stack, languages, and frameworks.
- Familiarity with WPF and MVVM technologies is required due to the small team structure. (This is a lesser focus but a basic skillset is essential.)
