- Prepare monthly management accounts for the business, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis against budget and prior periods
- Conduct reconciliations and provide commentary to support internal stakeholders
- Support the year-end close process and liaise with external auditors
- Review purchase and sales ledger activity and assist in preparing VAT returns
- Handle internal and external finance-related queries in a professional and timely manner
- Assist in managing stock levels and ensure finance processes align with operational needs
- Maintain and improve process documentation and financial controls
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members as required
- Participate in internal and external audits, preparing necessary reconciliations and reports
- Engage in finance-related projects aimed at improving efficiency and business performance
- Proven experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
- Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Comfortable liaising with auditors and preparing year-end accounts
- Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across departments
