Graduate Engineering Geologist

Location: Hertfordshire

This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join a dynamic and growing team based in Hertford, offering an excellent chance to start your career in geotechnical engineering.

This role will suit a recent engineering geology or geotechnical engineering graduate who has a passion for geology and mathematics. The successful graduate engineering geologist candidate will gain hands-on experience in ground investigations, geotechnical analysis and client engagement, where you will be working closely with Chartered geotechnical and geo-environemntal engineers on a wide range of contaminated land projects.

The Graduate Engineering Geologist duties:

  • Supervise ground investigation activities on-site, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Prepare interpretive reports, including geotechnical assessments and foundation designs.
  • Conduct ground movement analyses and numerical modelling as required.
  • Scope, price, and plan new projects in collaboration with the team.
  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical support.
  • Demonstrate creativity and problem-solving skills in addressing geotechnical challenges.

This Graduate Engineering Geologist role requires:

  • Degree in Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  • Live in or near to Hertford
  • Have a full right to work in the UK.
  • Have a full UK driving licence.
