Engineering ManagerBased out of HertfordUp to £45k

My Client who specialises in passive fire planned preventive maintenance, remedial, and project works. We offer a comprehensive range of fire safety services, is looking to recruit an Engineering Manager.

Their main services include:Fire Dampers and RemedialsFire Doors and RemedialsFire Compartmentation Surveys & RemedialsFire StoppingFire Risk AssessmentTR19 Grease Extract Cleaning

Main Duties:* Ensure full compliance with the company standards, promoting a culture of quality and accountability across all engineering activities. * Provide effective day-to-day leadership and management of engineering personnel, ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and performance expectations. * Carry out quarterly 1-1's with engineers and monthly probation reviews with new team members * Conduct and participate in monthly operational Health & Safety meetings, ensuring risks are identified and managed proactively within the engineering function. * Act as the primary liaison with the Group Health & Safety department, supporting continuous improvement and regulatory compliance across all passive fire projects. * Identify training needs and coordinate retraining programs to maintain and enhance the team's capability, including adapting to evolving business and industry requirements. * Run the safety auditing including site safety audits and engineer van audits * Lead and oversee the induction process for new engineers, ensuring comprehensive onboarding into passive fire systems, safety protocols, uniform, tooling and company standards. * Support the business needs for growth by leading recruitment for the engineering department

Requirements:* Full UK driver's licence required * Willingness to travel and adapt to scheduling changes as the company expands within the Air and Fire Industries * Experience managing teams of 20+ is preferred, but not essential * Relevant industry experience is advantageous, though not required
