A growing and dynamic organisation in the fire and air safety sector is seeking a proactive and experienced Engineering Manager to lead its engineering function. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a high-performing team, drive quality and safety, and play a key role in organisational growth.
What You’ll Do

Ensure full compliance with internal Engineering Standards, promoting a culture of quality and accountability.

Provide effective day-to-day leadership and management of engineering personnel.

Carry out quarterly one-to-one meetings and monthly probation reviews to support team development.

Lead and participate in monthly Health & Safety meetings, identifying and managing risks proactively.

Serve as the primary liaison with the Group Health & Safety department to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Identify training needs and coordinate retraining and upskilling to meet evolving business and industry requirements.

Conduct safety audits, including site safety and engineer van audits.

Lead the onboarding and induction process for new engineers, ensuring full integration into safety protocols, tooling, and company procedures.

Support recruitment to meet the needs of a growing engineering department.
What You’ll Need

A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel and adapt to schedule changes.

Experience managing teams of 20+ engineers is preferred, but not essential.

Relevant industry experience in passive fire systems or similar sectors is advantageous, though not required.
