Our client a leading contractor in the water, wastewater, and industrial water sector are looking for a Senior Project Manager/Project Director to join their established Delivery team working across the Thames Water Framework on Non-Infrastructure schemes in the region.

Reporting directly to the Framework Director, you will be responsible for the overall management of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with our clients strategic objectives.

As a Project Director you will:

  • Drive exceptional safety and delivery quality standards across direct and subcontracted teams.
  • Implement and oversee the Business Management System (BMS) throughout project lifecycles.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships at all levels.
  • Ensure effective collaboration with joint venture partners and suppliers.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor project activities, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon methodologies.
  • Develop and approve detailed Project Execution Plans (PEPs) and construction plans.
  • Guarantee that all project records are completed and maintained.
  • Monitor and report non-conformities, identifying associated costs.
  • Manage commercial aspects of projects proactively, providing accurate forecasts and estimates.
  • Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of water and wastewater design and build projects.

Our client requires a Project Director with:

  • Extensive experience in project management for multi-disciplinary design and construction projects.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in construction, commercial, or engineering.
  • Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
  • Strategic and operational management experience.
  • Expertise in Construction Contracts (NEC and/or IChemE preferred).
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and construction Health & Safety.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Chartered with a relevant professional body.
  • NEC Project Manager Accreditation.

Salary/Benefits:

  • 85,000 - 105,000 per annum
