Work Areas: Hertfordshire and North East London
Hours: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 (plus company pension)
Contractors: Arboriculture subcontractors on short- to medium-term contracts also welcome – competitive rates negotiable
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of tree surgery tasks
- Chip and process brash and timber
- Provide aerial rescue support when required
- Consistently adhere to Health & Safety standards
- Deliver all arboricultural work to a high professional standard
- Lead and manage a team in line with project and contractual requirements
- Liaise with clients, colleagues, and occasionally members of the public
- Carry out thorough risk assessments and minimise hazards
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- CS31 – Fell small trees
- CS38 – Climb trees & perform aerial rescue
- CS39 – Operate chainsaw from rope & harness
- CSCS CardÂ
- Brushwood chipper operations (NPTC or Lantra certified)
- First Aid at Work + F
- Knowledge of Chapter 8 signing, lighting, and guarding
- Strong motivation, with the ability to work safely and to a high standard
Desirable Experience & Certifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ climbing experience
- Tow chippers/trailers licence
- C1 licence entitlement
- CS41 – Aerial rigging
- IPAF qualification
