Langley Castle is one of the Northumberlands most prestigious hotels, rated 4* (Silver) with an award winning fine dining restaurant.

The kitchen team is the heart of the hotel, providing breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, relaxed dining, banqueting and of course fine dining to our guests - both resident and non-resident alike.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to head up the team combining traditional flavours with innovative cooking techniques to create a range of delicious dishes.

As a leader, you must be able to motivate, train and manage the team to produce everything fresh to a 2 Rosette standard.

The Person

The ideal Head Chef will have the following:

  • Your organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail will be vital in maintaining excellence.
  • Sound financial awareness with experience of ordering and rota writing. Proficient training in Food Safety, Health & Safety and HACCP.
  • Quality experience in a fresh food environment to 2 Rosette standard.
  • Head chef experience ideally in a hotel environment.
  • The passion and drive to contribute to the future success of the kitchen brigade who continue to develop award winning dishes.
  • The Head Chef must have a proven record of managing, training, coaching and motivating a team of quality chefs.
  • Ability to control GP and stocks.
  • A proven record of achieving excellent standards of hygiene
