Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm, Friday 7:00am-1:00pm (38 hours per week)



Introduction

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join a leading manufacturer at their brand-new, state-of-the-art 63,000 sq. ft facility in Heywood. You'll be working on vital products used in hospitals and laboratories across the UK and Europe - from chemotherapy isolators to microbiological safety cabinets - making a real impact in the healthcare sector.



Who this job would suit

This role is ideal for someone with a solid mechanical background, confident in reading engineering drawings, using hand/power tools, and working to high standards. It's especially suited to those with experience in aerospace, nuclear, pharmaceutical, or medical manufacturing. A driving licence is required for occasional UK-wide site work.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble a range of metal enclosure products using hand and battery-powered tools

  • Read and follow detailed engineering drawings and instructions

  • Ensure high-quality standards are maintained across all builds

  • Work with other departments to minimise delays and meet deadlines

  • Travel to client sites across the UK to assist with product installations
