Academics are exclusively working with a mainstream secondary school in High Wycombe to find x2 Teaching Assistants (Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist - Teaching Assistant) to work in the schools Speech, Communication and Language provision, supporting children with various needs including Speech and Language, Communication, Social, Autism (Verbal and Non-Verbal) needs & more!

* Work closely with specialist Teachers, Therapists & Psychologists to best support secondary aged pupils with various needs
* Receive training and support from day one - with no day being the same, working across Key Stage 3 - Key Stage 5!
* Support various students with wide-ranging needs 1-2-1 and in small groups, inside and outside of the classrooms
What experience will you need to do these Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist - Teaching Assistant roles?
A graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 - subject isn't a barrier, ideally from a reputable university
* Good A-Levels and GCSEs - including English at GCSE
* Previous experience supporting children, young people or adolescents - Essential
* This can be tutoring, nannying, babysitting, volunteering or personal experience!
* A genuine passion for supporting young people with barriers to learning
* An inquisitive, warm and nurturing personality!
* Must be able to speak confidently and calmly - personality is everything in these roles!

ROLE DETAILS - Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist - Teaching Assistant:
Teaching Assistant - Supporting various needs and SP&L
* Monday to Friday - No weekends
* School Hours - typically 8:30am - 3:30pm
* 90 - 100 per day - paid weekly (Term Time Only)
* January 2026 or sooner starts
* Long term contract - at least for an academic year - January 2026 to July 26 (scope for a permanent contract if interested from Sept 26)
