Production Engineer – Permanent £40,000 Excellent Benefits
Location: Lane End, High Wycombe (Office-based with occasional UK & China travel)
Hours: Full-time 39 hours per week Monday–Friday (Half-day Fridays)

We are working on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer specialising in high-quality systems used in scientific and technical environments. They are seeking a capable and proactive Production Engineer to join their team based near High Wycombe.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Engineer to contribute to a company with international reach and a strong reputation for innovation and quality.

As Production Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting UK manufacturing operations while also contributing to overseas production activities. The position focuses on managing project handovers from engineering to production, developing tooling and documentation, maintaining production equipment, and driving continuous improvement across the site.

 

Key Responsibilities as a Production Engineer:

  • Manage the handover of new products and modifications from engineering into manufacturing
  • Design and develop tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support production
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation to guide efficient manufacturing
  • Provide engineering support for production equipment and plant assets
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues within the production environment

 

To be suited to the Production Engineer opportunity:

  • Background in a production or manufacturing engineering role
  • Proficient in tooling design, equipment maintenance, and documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally to China
