We are looking for a Production Manager to oversee our operations, drive productivity, and maintain a high-performing, collaborative team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, can manage both people and processes effectively, and takes ownership of workshop scheduling, health & safety, and overall output. Responsibilities:

  • Leading the team - fostering a positive culture, managing performance, and driving productivity.
  • Overseeing workshop scheduling - coordinating labour, materials, and procurement.
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance - implementing processes and maintaining adherence.
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams to streamline operations.
  • Making proactive decisions and solving issues independently.
  • Communicating effectively - reporting, giving feedback, and providing updates.
  • Bringing industry expertise and hands-on experience to the role.
  • Supporting production when needed, using your skilled cabinet-making background.

Requirements:

Must have:

  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to schedule and plan effectively
  • Managerial experience
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in a bespoke joinery or cabinet-making workshop
  • Great collaborator
  • Proactive and independent
  • High-level cabinetry making experience
  • Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings

Desirable:

  • Experience in managing workshop H&S
  • Understanding and experience of Lean Methodology and/or Kaizen
  • Workshop procurement experience
  • Excellent IT skills

Schedule:

  • 40 hrs per week
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm
  • Full-time

Salary:

£45,000 - £55,000 per year
