NexGen Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Production Planner for a precision engineering manufacturer located in Wooburn Green, High Wycombe.

Role Overview:
As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our production operations. You will be responsible for providing administrative support across the shop floor, assisting with scheduling, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with internal departments to support timely delivery and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the production team with administrative tasks including data entry, scheduling, and reporting

  • Prepare and maintain job cards, production records, and documentation

  • Liaise with planning, procurement, and quality departments to coordinate workflow

  • Monitor and update production schedules to reflect changes or delays

  • Ensure accurate recording of materials, tooling, and job status updates

  • Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output and efficiency

  • Provide general office support as required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment

  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word

  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems is desirable

  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
