- Design & Develop PVD systems and mechanical components, ensuring the highest quality standards and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical design with thin film deposition technology for system optimization.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including specifications, design drawings, and system manuals.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of mechanical systems to ensure performance and safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues to optimize system performance and minimize downtime.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on vacuum systems, PVD, plasma, and positive pressure systems.
- Ensure quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to installation.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior engineers and team members.
- Manage project timelines and maintain communication with stakeholders to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (essential).
- Proficiency in mechanical CAD modelling and design tools.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience working with vacuum systems, PVD, plasma, or positive pressure systems.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of product lifecycle development, including prototyping, testing, and final production.
- Problem-solving mindset with an ability to troubleshoot and optimize systems effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality designs under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to work with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
