This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with a hands-on approach to further develop cutting-edge thin film deposition systems.You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to innovative, high-performance systems in a collaborative environment.This role requires someone with a solid understanding of vacuum systems, plasma, and mechanical design. You will help ensure that systems meet both technical performance and compliance standards, while continuously working to improve efficiency and quality.Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Develop PVD systems and mechanical components, ensuring the highest quality standards and operational reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical design with thin film deposition technology for system optimization.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including specifications, design drawings, and system manuals.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of mechanical systems to ensure performance and safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues to optimize system performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on vacuum systems, PVD, plasma, and positive pressure systems.
  • Ensure quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to installation.
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior engineers and team members.
  • Manage project timelines and maintain communication with stakeholders to meet deadlines and budgets.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (essential).
  • Proficiency in mechanical CAD modelling and design tools.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience working with vacuum systems, PVD, plasma, or positive pressure systems.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of product lifecycle development, including prototyping, testing, and final production.
  • Problem-solving mindset with an ability to troubleshoot and optimize systems effectively.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality designs under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
