The Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineer to join our team as a Technical Documentation Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving build procedures and production documentation. The key responsibilities will include:
· Develop clear, accurate build procedures and assembly instructions for production.
· Create and maintain technical documentation.
· Produce and update detailed engineering drawings.
· Collaborate with production engineers and technicians to capture accurate processes.
· Interpret engineering designs and convert them into user-friendly documentation.
· Implement continuous improvement updates to documentation based on production feedback.
Technical Author
The Candidate
Ideally you will have experience of working in a similar role as a Technical Author or Technical Writer but graduates and candidates with experience as a CAD Technician will be considered. The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experiences and attributes…
· Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
· Proven experience using AutoCAD and Office for technical documentation.
· Working knowledge of 3D modelling is beneficial.
· Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects.
· Experience of working in an assembly manufacturing environment would be highly beneficial.
The Company
Our client is an electronics assembly manufacturer based in the High Wycombe area. Due to continued growth and expansion they are looking to add an additional person to their Engineering department with this role reporting directly in to the Head of Engineering.
