We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a wonderful Infant School in High Wycombe, home to the only Infant School Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) in the county. The school was recently praised by Ofsted (October 2024) as a "highly inclusive school", with a strong, forward-thinking approach to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.

About the RoleThis is a job-share role within a specialist ARP setting, supporting up to 9 pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs. You'll work as part of a close-knit and experienced team under the guidance of the Lead ARP Teacher (0.6) and the Assistant Head for Inclusion.

You will have:

Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, especially ASD and SLCN

Strong knowledge of EYFS and KS1 curriculum

Familiarity with specialist communication tools such as Makaton or PECS

A creative, flexible, and trauma-informed approach to teaching

The ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies

A passion for empowering children with additional needs to achieve their full potential
