18-Month Fixed Term Contract | High Wycombe (Site-Based)

We're representing a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering a major highways scheme near High Wycombe. They're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team on an 18-month fixed term contract starting soon.

This role offers full ownership of commercial delivery under NEC4 Option B, working on a self-delivered infrastructure scheme involving complex structural and concrete repair works.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage NEC4 Option B contract - compensation events, programme monitoring, and cost control.

  • Oversee contractor performance and ensure accurate project financials.

  • Support delivery teams with commercial advice and reporting.

  • Maintain a proactive, cost-conscious approach to project delivery.

  • Mentor junior staff where appropriate.



About You

  • 5-10 years' experience within civil engineering or highways.

  • Proven track record with NEC contracts (Option B essential).

  • Strong understanding of programme, cost, and contractor management.

  • Background in concrete repairs, civils, highways, or structural maintenance preferred.

  • Comfortable being site-based, with flexibility for one day WFH per week (earned).
