Control Systems Engineer – High Wycombe, UK Permanent

As a Control Systems Engineer at Korvus, you won’t just be maintaining systems – you’ll be driving innovation, developing and customising software, supporting cutting-edge R&D projects, and ensuring world-class production standards. This is a role where your expertise will have real impact on exciting new products and the research they enable.

What you’ll be doing as a Control Systems Engineer:

  • Maintain and enhance PC and PLC software for advanced modular systems
  • Customise software to meet unique customer requirements, helping to deliver bespoke solutions
  • Design system schematics for production systems and ensure safety via interlock reviews
  • Lead fault-finding and troubleshooting, solving complex challenges across hardware and software
  • Collaborate with R&D to support new product development, influencing the next generation of Korvus technology
  • Work alongside sales, test, and installation teams to provide technical expertise and ensure documentation excellence

Who we’re looking for in a Control Systems Engineer:

  • Degree in science or engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Self-motivated, positive, and driven to make an impact
  • Experienced in industrial control software and confident with PC software (VB.net preferred)
  • Skilled in PLC coding (Mitsubishi preferred)
  • Eager to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and innovative environment

Bonus skills (but not essential):

  • Knowledge of PVD vacuum equipment
  • Experience with scientific instrumentation
  • PCB design experience
