Secondary Teaching Assistant | Immediate or September Start | Hazlemere

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Hazlemere. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to support young people and gain valuable school-based experience.

Role Details:

  • Start Date: Immediate or September 2025

  • Location: Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire

  • Contract Type: Full-time (term-time only), long-term or permanent

  • Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support for students across KS3 and KS4

  • Work one-to-one or in small groups to support learning and engagement

  • Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and classroom management

  • Support students with SEN and additional learning needs

  • Promote positive behaviour and build strong student relationships

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with secondary-aged students (desirable but not essential)

  • Be patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about supporting young people

  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Be willing to work flexibly and take initiative in a classroom setting

  • Hold or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
