Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver daily group and one-to-one activities such as arts & crafts, music, games, gentle exercise, gardening, reminiscence sessions, and themed celebrations

  • Tailor activities to meet the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents, including those living with dementia

  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes social interaction, mental stimulation, and emotional wellbeing

  • Develop a monthly activities calendar, involving residents in planning and feedback

  • Maintain records of resident participation and progress

  • Work closely with the care team, families, and local community to arrange events and visits

  • Encourage residents to maintain independence, build confidence, and enjoy a fulfilling daily routine

What We're Looking For:
  • A warm, creative, and energetic personality with a passion for working with older adults

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in a care home, dementia care, or activity-based role (desirable)

  • Ability to plan and adapt person-centred activities

  • Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and within a team
