The Role

You will work as part of a team on the soldering and assembly of printed circuit boards. Your main responsibilities will include…

·      Perform hand soldering of SMT components onto PCBs according to schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.

·      Inspect and verify component placement and solder joints using microscopes and magnification tools.

·      Rework and repair defective boards and components as needed.

·      Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow ESD (electrostatic discharge) procedures.

·      Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 standards for soldering and workmanship.

·      Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production issues or improvements.

The Candidate

You must have experience of hand soldering SMT components. You will also have the following skills and experiences…

·      Proven experience in surface mount soldering in an electronics manufacturing environment.

·      IPC-A-610 certification is preferred but it is not essential

·      Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

·      Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

·      Comfortable using microscopes and small tools for fine-detail work.

·      Knowledge of ESD safety protocols and standard manufacturing practices.

·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
