Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable HGV driver with a minimum of 1 year of experience (recent recorded experience on the Digi Card) and with no more than 6 points on the licence (No DR, DG, CD, DD, CU Endorsements)
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods, ensuring on-time deliveries, whilst adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills and the ability to manage deliveries efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate a lorry to transport goods to various destinations safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle is upheld at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid C+E Driving Licence, CPC card, and Digi card.
- Proven experience in a similar role (preferably)
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
