Our client is seeking a dedicated Private Client Paralegal to join their team. This role involves drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), handling probate applications, and managing estate administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Wills and Probate, excellent client-facing skills, and the ability to manage cases independently under appropriate supervision.The successful candidate will have at least three years’ experience as a fee-earning paralegal within Private Client law, with a solid understanding of estate planning, probate processes, and regulatory compliance. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive client matters with professionalism and empathy are essential.   • Confidently lead client meetings, providing advice, addressing concerns, and offering guidance on relevant legal matters.
  • Oversee file management, ensuring cases progress smoothly with consistent client communication.
  • Assist in the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), including producing final versions and handling document registration.
  • Handle applications for Grants of Probate, coordinating with HMRC when required.
  • Generate and provide accurate cost estimates to potential clients.
  • Conduct due diligence checks, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage new client onboarding, including setting up files and collecting necessary documentation.
  • Draft and issue probate-related correspondence and handling estate administration processes.
  • Process invoices and prepare requisition slips.
  • Organise and maintain client records within the Case Management System.
  • Ensure the secure handling and storage of executed Wills.
  • Draft and distribute legal communications via email, letters, or client portals.
  • Provide support in the absence of the supervising fee earner, ensuring continuity of case management.
  • Confidently respond to client and third-party queries via phone and in person.
  • Assist clients with signing legal documents and provide clarification when needed.
  • Archive completed files in line with firm policies.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all client records and legal documents.
  • Support general office administration, including answering calls and directing inquiries.
  • Stay informed on updates in fraud prevention, data protection, anti-money laundering, and cybercrime regulations.
  • Continuously develop expertise in Wills, Probate, and Private Client law.
