Are you experienced in high-volume sales order processing and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? Our client, a long-established manufacturing business with an on-site factory in Hitchin, is seeking a Sales & Order Processing Administrator to join their close-knit team of four, reporting directly to the Sales Director.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values flexibility, accountability, communication, and confidentiality, and where your contribution will directly support both customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming orders and enquiries via phone and email, advising on pricing, delivery, availability, and product suitability (training provided).
  • Accurately process purchase and sales orders through to dispatch and invoicing.
  • Liaise with suppliers and chase outstanding purchase orders.
  • Check component availability via ERP systems and coordinate with Production to meet customer needs.
  • Resolve order conflicts in collaboration with shop floor coordinators and team members.
  • Raise internal works orders, issue to production, and process credit notes.
  • Support external sales staff and coordinate with Area Sales Managers and Sales Agents.
  • Maintain and update customer and project data on the CRM system.
  • Acquire product knowledge to support front-line customer service.
  • Undertake additional tasks to support the business as directed by the Sales Director.

  • Confident communicator with a proactive and flexible approach
