Job Title: Machine Operator – Heavy Construction Plant
Location: Hitchin
Salary/Bonuses: £16 – £20 per hour (depending on experience)
Neos Engineering are partnered with a well-established civil engineering and construction business that is experiencing continued growth across a range of infrastructure projects.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join the team and operate heavy construction plant machinery. This is a Monday to Friday day shift position, offering steady, long-term work on a variety of projects in and around the Hitchin area. You will be responsible for operating machinery safely and efficiently, performing daily checks, and assisting with basic maintenance where required.
The Candidate
The successful applicant will have:

Proven experience operating heavy construction plant machinery (e.g., excavators, dozers, dumpers)

Valid CPCS or NPORS certification

Strong awareness of health & safety on site

A proactive and reliable work ethic

Ability to commute to the Hitchin area daily
