CNC MACHINIST Hitchin, Hertfordshire

Location: Hitchin

Salary: £32K £36K DOE

Employment Type: Full-Time


Im currently working with a well-established precision engineering company based near Hitchin, Hertfordshire, who are looking to expand their team with an experienced CNC Machinist.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality, close-tolerance components and is looking to join a growing business with a strong order book and a collaborative team environment.

The Role:

Setting and operating CNC milling and/or turning machines

Working to engineering drawings and tight tolerances

Carrying out quality checks using standard inspection equipment

Basic editing/programming (experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Mazak desirable)

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

What We're Looking For:


Proven CNC machining experience (setting, operating programming a plus)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Strong attention to detail and quality focus

Flexibility to work as part of a small team

Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification desirable

Whats On Offer:


£32K - £36K depending on skills and experience

Overtime available at 1.5x kicking in after 39 hours

Day shifts (early finish on Fridays!)

25 days holiday + bank holidays
