Production Engineer

Hitchin

Salary : £45,000 DOE

We're looking for a hands-on Production Engineer to ensure their products are built right first time with quality, scalability, and efficiency at the core. You'll create manufacturing documentation, support new product introduction (NPI), and drive process improvements across PCB and product assembly.

What You'll Do as a Production Engineer:

Review customer specifications & provide technical input for quotes.
Develop manufacturing packs (BOMs, SMT programs, build/packing instructions).
Manage engineering change notes (ECNs).
Optimise processes using lean manufacturing methods.
Troubleshoot defects and implement corrective actions.
Support NPI, design reviews, and PFMEA activities.

What You'll Bring as a Production Engineer:

Experience in electronics manufacturing or PCB assembly.
Strong lean manufacturing and problem-solving skills.
Ability to produce clear manufacturing documentation.
ERP system experience.
