REED Practice are excited to be working with a highly respected Accountancy Practice in their search for a Payroll Senior. This role is perfect for someone with extensive payroll experience, looking to lead and enhance payroll operations within a professional setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Process client payrolls, including BACS payments, starters, leavers, holiday pay, and pension deductions.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, addressing payroll and employment queries promptly.
  • Ensure legislative compliance through regular checks.
  • Manage HMRC communications and documentation (e.g., P45s, P60s).
  • Oversee auto-enrolment and maintain pension records and payments.
  • Handle RTI submissions, CIS returns, and PAYE schemes.
  • Keep accurate records and update timesheets promptly.
  • Supervise and train payroll administrators, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experienced in end-to-end payroll within accountancy practices
  • Strong knowledge of tax and payroll regulations
  • Proficient in Iris; Sage experience beneficial
  • CIPP qualification preferred but not essential
  • Skilled in Excel, Word, Outlook, and numeracy
  • Detail-oriented with high data accuracy
  • Able to manage deadlines independently and collaboratively
  • Strong leadership and client-focused mindset
