Payroll Senior

REED Practice are excited to be working with a highly respected Accountancy Practice in their search for a Payroll Senior. This role is perfect for someone with extensive payroll experience, looking to lead and enhance payroll operations within a professional setting.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Process client payrolls, including BACS payments, starters, leavers, holiday pay, and pension deductions.
- Maintain strong client relationships, addressing payroll and employment queries promptly.
- Ensure legislative compliance through regular checks.
- Manage HMRC communications and documentation (e.g., P45s, P60s).
- Oversee auto-enrolment and maintain pension records and payments.
- Handle RTI submissions, CIS returns, and PAYE schemes.
- Keep accurate records and update timesheets promptly.
- Supervise and train payroll administrators, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experienced in end-to-end payroll within accountancy practices
- Strong knowledge of tax and payroll regulations
- Proficient in Iris; Sage experience beneficial
- CIPP qualification preferred but not essential
- Skilled in Excel, Word, Outlook, and numeracy
- Detail-oriented with high data accuracy
- Able to manage deadlines independently and collaboratively
- Strong leadership and client-focused mindset
