Alecto Recruitment is partnering with a growing company within the Odour and emissions control sector who work closely with the Anaerobic Digestion and Waste sectors and is looking to take on a Process Engineer.
Role and Responsibilities:
- You'll be hands-on, at the core of innovation, helping us break into new markets and solve real-world challenges. Day to day, you'll:
- Design, optimise, and implement solutions for clients across the waste and biogas sector.
- Interpret tenders, align them with our client's standard kit, and identify opportunities for smarter solutions.
- Support sales teams with process design, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
- Lead R&D initiatives-from developing new products to testing prototypes and conducting trials.
- Carry out feasibility studies and data analysis that drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across project teams.
- Work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes.
- Ensure projects meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
Skills and Qualifications:
A degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in process engineering, ideally in utilities, environmental, or energy sectors.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and trial development (yes, using hand tools too).
- A strong background-or clear passion-for R&D, innovation, and new technology.
- Experience with anaerobic digestion (AD), wastewater treatment, or related processes (a big plus).
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- We have CAD engineers, but some CAD modifications would be useful if the applicant has experience
