We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced office Administrator to work for our dynamic and growing client based in Hoddesdon. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality, practical solutions for their clients while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. They are currently seeking a proactive, organised, and dependable Office Administrator to help keep their operations running smoothly. The role is a full-time permanent position working onsite in Hoddesdon from 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday but our client would also consider part-time hours (i.e. 9am - 3pm Monday - Friday) for the right candidate. This role offers a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience (pro rata for part-time hours).

Candidates must have a good level of admin experience as the role involves managing all administrative duties within the office by supporting the Directors and providing admin support for engineers and sub-contractors.

The Office Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day administrative operations of the office. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workload and can manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. You’ll support both the management and engineering teams, handling everything from reception/customer service duties to admin support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls, and manage general email correspondence
  • Maintain and organise office supplies, equipment, and inventory
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Assist with basic invoicing, expense tracking, petty cash accounting duties/
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and staff travel arrangements
  • Manage fleet of vehicles including MOT’s and general servicing
  • Maintain digital and physical filing systems, including project and client records
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for projects
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and service providers as needed
  • Ensure the office is clean, tidy, and well-presented
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required by the team

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role essential
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Microsoft OneDrive
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Familiarity with engineering terminology or project workflows is a bonus but not required
  • Flexible, adaptable and willing to carry out a range of administrative tasks.
