A newly opened independent school in Holbeach are looking for a teaching assistant to join their team. The school caters for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and pupils attending the school require additional and personalised support and a tailored curriculum due to adverse childhood experiences and the school has a trauma informed approach to teaching and learning. You will work closely with a small group of 3 to 4 pupils, alongside the class teacher to support and promote the safety and wellbeing of students in your class. You will also be resonsible for helping the children to regulate their emotions and behaviours and gently encourage them to access their learning. Students at the school are aged 11-16 and can at times, display physical behaviours and so, the role requires individuals with high resilience and a strong sense of empathy for children with additional needs.

The working hours are 08:30 -16:30, Monday to Friday and there is a possibility that the school will want to offer a permenant contract after an initial 16 working weeks through Milk Education, so they are particularly interested in applications from individuals who may be interested in a permenant role.
