Veritas Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team and support secondary schools across Kirklees. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, assist with lesson delivery, and offer one-to-one or small group interventions. Your role will be vital in creating a positive learning environment and ensuring all students feel supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
- Provide targeted assistance to students who require additional help.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
- Promote good behaviour and encourage student participation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
