Veritas Education is looking for a committed and proactive Intervention Support Assistant to work within a secondary school in Kirklees. This role involves supporting students who require additional help to achieve their academic potential, focusing on targeted interventions in core subjects.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver small group and one-to-one intervention sessions in English, Maths, and other subjects as required.
- Support pupils with SEND and those who need catch-up support.
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teaching staff and the SENCO.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure effective learning strategies.
Requirements:
- Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
