Responsibilities:

As an Material Handling Operator, you will:

  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Load and unload materials efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures diligently
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any issues

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Valid forklift and material handling certifications
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Strong understanding of safety practises and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience with automated material handling systems
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Previous experience in a dock or shipping environment
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for handling equipment
