Our client is currently seeking a Highways Operative to join their team delivering essential drainage and highway maintenance services across Exeter and Mid Devon. This role involves operating specialist vehicles and machinery to support a programme of cyclical highway works.

Key Responsibilities:
聽
路Operate and drive an 18-tonne Gully Whale tanker (Gully Sucker).
路Carry out routine cleansing and maintenance of highway gullies.
路Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use at all times.
路Perform basic maintenance on machinery, including cleaning filters and greasing components.
路Work effectively as part of a team delivering drainage tasks in line with an annual programme.
路Use a tablet or digital device to update maintenance and inspection records.
Essential Requirements:

路Valid CSCS Card.
路12D T1/T2 Traffic Management qualification.
路Experience in highways or drainage works.
路Basic mechanical understanding for equipment maintenance.
路Small plant operation tickets (desirable).
Desirable Skills:
聽
路Strong teamwork and communication skills.
路Familiarity with digital record-keeping systems.
路Flexibility to work across various sites in the Exeter and Mid Devon areas.
