- Working as part of a small support team to provide responsive services to people, usually around 24 years old and above, who have/are experiencing substance & alcohol misuse and mental ill-health.
- Liaising with other agencies regarding specific needs including Benefits, Mental Health, Substance Misuse
- Building open and trusting relationships while Assisting clients in exploring options around education, training, and employment
- Writing, reviewing and updating support plans and risk assessments, using a motivated and positive approach
- Providing high-quality support to clients, helping maintain their homes and tenancies
- Experience in supporting people with various needs and backgrounds.
- Having the ability to apply common sense to situations, whilst being accountable for decisions made and reasons behind them.
- Being able to establish and maintain relationships within internal and external partnerships, and with multiple clients and colleagues.
- Maintaining records and putting action plans in place
- Confident in dealing with a wide range of people, able to read and assess difficult situations and provide solutions.
- Ability to positively respond to change.
- Knowledge of what housing support is and the issues that people are facing on a daily basis.
- Understanding of training, employment, educational opportunities or social activities.
- Previous experience of working with vulnerable individuals whether on their own or in group situations
- Have experience of risk assessing and risk management
- Ideally holds a NVQ LVL 3 in relevant field
- Safeguarding certifications.
